Newcomer Wines and Rote Wand invite you to an extraordinary culinary experience as part of Arlberg Weinberg! From 5 to 8 December 2024, you can expect a world-class line-up of some of London’s hottest top chefs, such as Meedu Saad (Kiln), Ed Wilson (Brawn) and James Lowe (Lyle’s), who will inspire you with their unique dinner creations.

Experience exclusive workshops with top winemakers such as Catharina Sadde from Domaine Les Horées, Timothée Stroebel, Emma & Andrew Nielsen from Domaine Le Grappin, Thomas Perseval & Bastian Wolber and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of an exciting new generation of top winemakers from France – from characterful Burgundies to the fine wines of the French Alps by Damien Bastian Goddard and Valentin Morel to natural, artisan champagnes.

Join us and enjoy an event that appeals to all the senses – full of enjoyment, inspiration and unforgettable culinary highlights!

Head chef Meedu Saad brings genuine product cuisine with influences from northern Thailand and Egypt to your plate. Look forward to creative yet down-to-earth flavours that will take you on a culinary journey to these fascinating regions.

Wine pairing & presentation ‘French Alps’

The wine pairing will be curated by Damien Bastian Goddard (Ça Boit Libre, Savoie) and Valentin Morel (Les Pieds sur Terre, Jura). They will present a selection of their exciting wines from the French Alps (Jura and Savoie) that are perfectly matched to the flavors of the menu and reflect their regions of origin in an impressive way.

  • 3 pm Workshop on New Burgundy with Catharina Sadde (Les Horees, Burgundy) / Bastian Wolber, Burgundy / Emma and Andrew Nielsen (Le Grappin, Burgundy) and moderation by Daniela Pillhofer & Peter Honegger
  • 6.30 pm Dinner by Ed Wilson / BRAWN

On this evening, you can expect a menu that is entirely characterised by French product cuisine, inspired by the culinary traditions of Burgundy. Ed Wilson, head chef at London’s BRAWN, is known for his purist approach, with high-quality ingredients taking centre stage. Look forward to a menu that captures the soul of French cuisine

The wine pairing by Daniela Pillhofer and Peter Honegger will guide you through a selection of wines from the winemakers presented in the afternoon workshop, complemented by exciting pairings from producers and regions from the Newcomer Wines portfolio.

James Lowe, head chef of the renowned LYLE’S in London, presents a modern interpretation of British cuisine based on fresh, regional ingredients and a reduced, yet elegant style; as a former student of Fergus Henderson and Heston Blumenthal, he combines a passion for high-quality and genuine products with a modern ‘less is more’ kitchen style in his dishes. Look forward to a menu that reflects the essence of a new generation of British chefs.

The wine pairing by Daniela Pillhofer and Peter Honegger includes both the characterful wines of the winemakers from the workshop and Vins Vivants – lively, unadulterated wines that are known for their radiance and emotional depth. Together they create surprising and harmonious combinations that round off the menu perfectly.
